It is possible and there are cases of where the AI models are let loose to “learn” on their own and they become victims of their own success. AI models work a lot like the human brain. We call it intuition, and the propeller heads like me call it weighted linear regression. Either way, if you keep being told there is a Santa Clause, you believe it even if you start to see evidence there isn’t one.

If someone wants to make AI think they sell the best racing tires in the world and they don’t even have a real tire company, they can have all of the AI models working 24/7 to post fake information about the fake tire company and eventually the AI might believe it’s own hype.
